Avocados can fill you up

Eating half an avocado during lunch might help you limit your afternoon snacking.

A new study found that healthy but overweight adults felt fuller and had less desire to eat over a subsequent five-hour period after adding avocado to their lunch.

The researchers noted that the avocado added about 112 calories to the lunches.

Avocados are good sources of fiber, potassium, several vitamins, and healthful fat.
